Atlantic Nickel and Appian Capital posted record monthly performance at the Santa Rita nickel sulphide mine in Bahia, Brazil: 12,464 tonnes of nickel concentrate in August and a record 86.72 percent metallurgical recovery, the highest since operations restarted in 2019. H1 adjusted EBITDA was $66.5 million on gross revenue of $163.3 million, with average C1 costs of $3.10 per pound holding the mine in the first quartile. The underground transition, with the inaugural South Portal blast completed in March and over 600 meters of tunnel since excavated, targets a mine life beyond 30 years at about 30,000 tonnes of nickel equivalent a year.
1911 Gold (TSXV: AUMB) released results from ten diamond holes totaling 4,562 meters at its True North project in southeast Manitoba, headlined by 7.55 grams per tonne gold over 5 meters, 3.51 g/t over 2.4 meters, and 32.40 g/t over 1.10 meters, targeting extensions of the 710-711 and 007 zones outside the current resource. The stock climbed 1.41 percent to 71 cents. A mineral resource update expected in Q4 will fold in the three new discoveries plus the zone extensions.
Greenland Mines (Nasdaq: GRML) authorized a $20 million (C$28.46 million) share repurchase program days after raising more than $59 million in new capital. The company, with an $84.4 million market capitalization, dropped 14.44 percent Tuesday morning in New York. Its two Greenland assets are Sarfartoq, a neodymium-praseodymium rare earths project with 5.88 million indicated tonnes grading 1.77 percent total rare earth oxides, and Skaergaard, a large gold-palladium-platinum project where an updated technical report lifted contained palladium-equivalent metal by more than half.
Cambria Gold Mines (TSXV: CAMB) is targeting another restart of the Premier gold mill near Stewart, B.C., commissioning the 2,500-tonne-per-day mill in Q4 2027 and ramping through 2028, after insufficient underground feed derailed the first ramp-up. The company said $538 million has been spent at the complex since 2021, and it raised C$45.9 million through warrant exercises alongside the update. An updated feasibility study is delayed to the first half of 2027. The stock sits at 77 cents, down 74 percent over twelve months; Canaccord expects Q4 2027 commissioning while Raymond James models Q1 2028.
Metso signed a €16 million (C$25.56 million) thickener modernization agreement for a large-scale mine in Chile, one of the largest thickener modernization orders it has ever received, booked in Q3 2026. The scope covers retrofitting three high-rate thickeners with two new SCD 4000 drives, new mechanisms and a redesigned feed system aimed at improving water recovery.
Tivan’s proposed $50 million joint venture for the Molyhil tungsten project in the Northern Territory moved toward binding agreements, with Sumitomo and ETFS Capital targeting execution of long-form documents in Q4 2026. Sumitomo may invest up to $25 million in stages for up to 8.75 percent, including an initial $4.5 million and potential offtake covering up to 100 percent of production; ETFS Capital may invest up to $25 million for an equivalent effective stake. Tivan expects Sumitomo to apply shortly to Australia’s Foreign Investment Review Board, and extended both MOUs to November 15.
Hammer Metals shareholders will vote November 9 on Austral Resources Australia’s $80.7 million takeover after the Federal Court cleared the way and approved dispatch of the scheme booklet around October 8. The board unanimously recommends the deal in the absence of a superior proposal, with independent expert BDO calling it fair and reasonable. Hammer holders would get 1.2903 Austral shares per share, about 31.1 percent of the enlarged group plus shares in the demerged Western Australian gold business, for an implied $0.087 per share; Austral is targeting a mid-2027 restart of its Rocklands plant, which could treat Hammer’s Kalman copper-gold-molybdenum-rhenium ore.
First Canadian Graphite (TSXV: FCI) plans to start drilling its Zone 13 discovery at Lac Guéret South in Quebec next month and deliver a first resource estimate early next year, pushing toward a maiden resource on one of the province’s more active graphite plays.
