Solidigm, the US NAND flash and enterprise SSD business SK Hynix built from Intel’s storage assets, has picked Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs as lead underwriters for a US initial public offering as early as 2027, Bloomberg reported Wednesday. Reuters reported last month the listing could raise about $15 billion at a valuation of up to $150 billion, a step up from the roughly $100 billion figure Bloomberg previously floated, with a pre-IPO funding round of about $3.6 billion also in the works. Solidigm posted first-half 2026 net income of $4.3 billion on $9.0 billion in revenue, up from $97 million of profit a year earlier, as AI data-center demand drives enterprise SSD sales. SK Hynix has not confirmed the listing, saying in its September 4 disclosure that its overseas subsidiary is reviewing measures to strengthen competitiveness and setting December 3 for its next update.
Solidigm said to pick Morgan Stanley, Goldman for mega IPO
Solidigm, SK Hynix's US storage unit, has selected Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs as lead banks for a potential US IPO as early as 2027 that could value it at up to $150 billion, Bloomberg reported.
Why it matters: A raise of up to $15 billion would rank among the largest US semiconductor listings ever and give SK Hynix's AI-exposed NAND and enterprise SSD business an independent market value.
