Critical One Energy (CSE: CRTL) said it plans to transfer its Kenora uranium property in northwestern Ontario and its uranium and copper interests in Namibia into a new company to be called Critical Two Energy. Shares in Critical Two would be distributed as a dividend to Critical One shareholders of record on a date to be determined, with a separate stock exchange listing expected. The company said its Howells Lake project near Thunder Bay remains its primary focus, and it has engaged Micon International for an independent technical review of Kenora, which covers the historic Richard Lake uranium occurrence with 40 legacy drill holes totaling 5,552.6 metres.
Critical One to spin off Kenora and Namibia uranium assets
Critical One Energy plans to spin its Kenora uranium property and Namibian uranium and copper interests into a new listed company called Critical Two Energy.
Why it matters: The split keeps investor focus on the flagship Howells Lake project while giving the Kenora and Namibia assets their own vehicle to raise capital and advance.
