A person was shot during an incident involving federal law enforcement agents in the Marble Hill neighborhood of the Bronx around 4 p.m. Thursday, the New York Police Department said in a statement on X. The person was taken to a nearby hospital, conscious and receiving medical attention.
The NYPD said its officers were not involved in the incident and were not at the scene when the shooting occurred. Bloomberg identified the federal personnel as ICE agents; no federal agency has yet issued a statement on the shooting.
