Infrastructure Thursday, October 8, 2026 · Updated Oct 8, 2026 15:44

Audax Private Equity completed the sale of air-filtration platform Rensa Filtration to AEA Investors and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation, with financial terms undisclosed.

Why it matters: The exit marks Audax's eighth announced or completed realization under its flagship strategy in 2026 and gives the new owners a platform selling into data centers, semiconductor fabs and other contamination-critical facilities.

Data as of Transaction closed October 8, 2026, reported by citybiz; the company announcements were not independently opened. Single-sourced.

The transaction closed on October 8, 2026, with Audax and Rensa’s management retaining minority ownership stakes; Lincoln International and Baird advised Audax. Rensa supplies engineered filtration products and services to data centers, power generation facilities, semiconductor manufacturers, healthcare providers, life sciences companies and food processing operations. Audax had invested in August 2022 and built the platform through 10 acquisitions, including the April 2026 purchase of Air Filters Northwest, plus two new manufacturing facilities in Nevada and Illinois.

Audax said the Rensa sale is its eighth exit announced or completed under its flagship strategy in 2026 and the tenth across its private equity platform over the past 12 months, representing roughly $15 billion in total transaction value.
