Bitdeer AI has signed a 10-year data center services agreement to lease the A901 data center in Malaysia, a 67-megawatt campus whose operator and exact location were not disclosed. The site is engineered for liquid-cooled Nvidia GB300 NVL72 systems, with capacity delivery starting in the first quarter of 2027 and completing in the second.
The deal takes Bitdeer’s global contracted capacity across Malaysia, Norway, and the US to 273.5MW, about 78 percent of its goal of 350MW by the first quarter of 2028. A901 is Bitdeer’s third Malaysian location, joining Cyberjaya and Johor, and follows weeks after it signed for a 65.1MW facility in Johor Bahru. The company has also signed a letter of intent for an AI data center in Bhutan’s Gelephu Mindfulness City, initially 30MW of hydro and solar power, expandable to 500MW.
“Demand for liquid-cooled, rack-scale AI capacity in Southeast Asia is running ahead of what the market can deliver,” said Michael G. Potter, CFO of Bitdeer Technologies Group. Bitdeer began as a crypto miner and is pivoting to AI hosting, repurposing mining sites in Washington, Tennessee, and Norway for the same playbook.
