The larger order, worth about DKK 360 million, covers long-lead crushing and grinding equipment for a copper expansion project in northern Chile. FLS will deliver a 1,600 x 3,300 TSUV gyratory crusher with a 1,500 kW motor and self-aligning main shaft assembly, which the company says will be the world’s largest, plus one 40-foot by 29-foot SAG mill and three 28-foot by 48-foot ball mills with combined installed power of more than 90 MW. The mills will feature high-efficiency gearless mill drives, FLS Armor mill liners and self-aligning main bearings, and the order includes commissioning services and one year of operating spares. Installation and commissioning are expected in late 2029 and early 2030.
The second order, worth about DKK 175 million, supplies core grinding technology for a new grinding line at another Chilean copper mine: one 24/17 high-pressure grinding roll and one 27-foot by 46-foot, 19.6 MW gearless ball mill, plus mill liners, installation, commissioning, start-up support and a spare-parts and on-site services agreement. Installation and commissioning are scheduled for 2027. FLS said the order extends a long-standing partnership with the customer following collaboration on the expansion project’s engineering.
Both orders were booked in the third quarter of 2026, and FLS said neither changes its financial guidance for the full year 2026.
