Japan Gold Corp. (TSXV: JG), the largest mineral exploration company in Japan, built the package around a strategic alliance with Solidcore Resources plc, a Kazakhstan-listed gold producer. Solidcore committed C$35 million (US$25 million) over 36 months to fund exploration across five of Japan Gold’s target areas through a staged joint-venture structure that can earn Solidcore up to 80 percent interests. Solidcore also appointed two nominees to Japan Gold’s board, underscoring the governance depth of the partnership.
In parallel, the company closed a C$10.5 million private placement at a premium to market, converted US$2 million of debentures to eliminate debt, and sold OR Royalties an additional 0.5 percent royalty for US$3 million, lifting OR Royalties’ interest to 2 percent across Japan Gold’s properties. Together the transactions deliver roughly C$50 million of committed capital, strengthen the balance sheet, and provide non-dilutive funding for both the joint-venture projects and the broader exploration pipeline.
Japan Gold controls more than 3,000 square kilometers of prospective mineral rights across Japan’s three main islands, targeting high-grade epithermal gold belts. The company said it will present at the Precious Metals and Critical Minerals Virtual Investor Conference on October 14.
