The December schedule works out to about 1.06 million barrels a day and includes the first cargoes of the new Uaru grade, due to load on December 11 to 12 from ExxonMobil’s fifth Stabroek development. Guyana reached 900,000 barrels a day of production in November 2025 and passed one billion cumulative barrels in September, and the IMF says its economy grew more than 19 percent in 2025 on the back of the boom. Two further projects, Whiptail in late 2027 and Hammerhead in 2029, would lift installed capacity toward 1.3 million barrels a day and beyond.
Guyana oil exports set to top one million barrels a day
Guyana's crude exports are set to surpass one million barrels a day for the first time in December, on a preliminary loading schedule of 33 million barrels for the month.
Why it matters: A country that produced almost no oil seven years ago is about to become a million barrel a day exporter, adding non-OPEC supply at a moment when Middle East disruptions have put a premium on Atlantic basin crude.
