Equinox Gold produced 237,019 ounces of gold in the third quarter, up 34 percent from 176,836 ounces in the second quarter, in its first full reporting period after completing the merger with Orla Mining in late July.

Why it matters: The combined company is now tracking toward the top of a much larger production base, with 611,483 ounces produced in the first nine months against full year guidance of 870,000 to 920,000 ounces, which makes the fourth quarter ramp at its Canadian mines the number to watch.

Data as of Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Single-sourced: Mining.com report of Equinox Gold's third quarter production results, read in full; figures are the company's reported production and sales.

Equinox Gold produced 237,019 ounces of gold in the third quarter of 2026, up 34 percent from 176,836 ounces in the second quarter, with gold sales rising 39.6 percent to 248,484 ounces. The quarter included two months of output from the Musselwhite mine in Canada and Camino Rojo in Mexico, both acquired in the Orla Mining merger completed in late July, and the company said Canadian operations were led by Musselwhite, with Valentine and Greenstone improving and Valentine’s mill feed grade averaging over 1.8 grams per tonne.

Production for the first nine months reached 611,483 ounces, which Equinox described as on track for full year guidance of 870,000 to 920,000 ounces, a target that requires a fourth quarter above the third quarter’s total. The company also said its South Railroad project in Nevada has secured its federal record of decision and final permits and begun early construction, with first gold scheduled for 2028 at average annual production of 130,000 ounces in the first five years and all in sustaining costs of about 1,500 dollars an ounce.
