BBAM, the Dallas based aircraft investment manager, has closed Incline Aviation III, its third flagship aviation fund, with more than $1.7 billion of total capital commitments, the firm announced via PR Newswire. The fund drew a mix of existing and new institutional investors.
Deployment is already well advanced. More than $625 million of equity had been invested and committed as of June 2026, about 37 percent of the final fund size. The strategy continues the firm’s established approach of investing across commercial aviation, including leased aircraft, engines and related credit opportunities.
Each Incline fund has been larger than the last: Incline Aviation I raised $1.2 billion including affiliated co investment, and Incline Aviation II raised $1.5 billion. BBAM says it has nearly 40 years in the business, manages more than 500 aircraft, and serves more than 100 airline customers in over 50 countries.
Event Registry returned no matches for the close; the figures were corroborated against BBAM’s own PR Newswire release, which matches the AltAssets report that first surfaced the item. Leased aircraft remain one of the few real asset classes where contracted cash flows, hard collateral and a global secondary market combine, which is the profile the successive fund sizes suggest institutions are still paying for.
