LGT Capital Partners and Coller EQT have co led a 1.25 billion euro continuation fund for EMK Capital's VDK Groep, the Dutch technical installation and maintenance group, PE Hub reported on Thursday.

Why it matters: A continuation vehicle of this size keeps a 2020 vintage buyout in EMK's hands with fresh secondaries money rather than a sale, another case of large mid market assets being extended instead of exited at current prices.

EMK Capital has raised a 1.25 billion euro continuation fund for VDK Groep, co led by LGT Capital Partners and Coller EQT, PE Hub reported on Thursday. VDK, based in the Netherlands, is a group of technical installation and maintenance companies covering electrical and mechanical installation, climate technology, fire safety and building intelligence, and EMK has held a majority stake since 2020, backing a buy and build strategy. The continuation fund moves the asset into a new vehicle with secondaries investors rather than selling it, extending EMK’s ownership six years into the holding period.
