Iambic Therapeutics has raised 150 million dollars in its initial public offering, BioPharma Dive and Endpoints News reported, taking the AI drug discovery company’s platform story to the public market at a moment when investors are asking what, exactly, AI native pipelines are worth.
Iambic’s claim is speed and hit rate: its models design molecules against targets, including in oncology, and the company has moved candidates into the clinic on timelines it argues traditional discovery cannot match. The IPO is therefore a referendum with a ticker. Earlier AI discovery names traded down when clinical proof lagged the platform narrative, and Iambic will be priced every quarter against actual patient data.
The raise also matters for the private market it leaves behind. A well received listing reopens the exit window for the dozens of venture backed AI discovery companies whose rounds assumed an IPO market that has been shut or selective for most of the decade.
