DigiCo Infrastructure REIT has signed a 15 year contract for 71MW of capacity at its SYD1 facility in Sydney with an unnamed global technology firm, backed by investment grade credit support, the ASX listed company announced this week. The deal takes SYD1 to 100 percent leased across 88MW of total capacity once current upgrades and expansions complete.
The contract includes the reallocation of 20MW of existing contracted capacity to the new customer, with the remaining 17MW of the site leased to colocation customers. The first 10MW of the SYD1 expansion is expected to be energised and income producing in late Q4 FY27, with the balance delivered progressively over FY28, aligned to customer requirements.
DigiCo’s co head and chief financial officer Simon Mitchell said the contract validates the site and strengthens the quality of the portfolio’s cash flows, and that the company now expects to reach full lease up and development of the 88MW site well ahead of its original five year plan. The Sydney facility, in the Ultimo district, was acquired in 2024 as part of HMC Capital’s purchase of Global Switch’s Australian business, and was then floated inside the DigiCo REIT.
