Israeli drone attacks killed at least six Palestinians across the Gaza Strip on Saturday, according to Palestinian medical and emergency workers, in northern, central and southern areas of the territory. A man was killed and several others wounded near al-Faluja cemetery, west of Jabalia, the Palestinian Wafa news agency reported, citing medical sources. One person was killed and several injured in the al-Mawasi area of Rafah.
In Gaza City, staff at al-Shifa Hospital said two people were killed and others wounded in the Tuffah neighbourhood, and witnesses told Al Jazeera the group hit was returning from the burial of an earlier attack victim. Another person was killed in eastern Gaza City, the hospital said. In central Gaza, staff at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital reported one person killed and another injured in Deir el-Balah.
Gaza’s Health Ministry, in an update issued Saturday, said 1,511 Palestinians had been killed and 5,375 injured since the United States brokered ceasefire was announced on October 10, 2025, with six deaths and 43 injuries in the preceding 48 hours, and put the total since October 2023 at 74,469 killed and 175,492 injured. Those are the ministry’s figures. No Israeli military statement on Saturday’s strikes was in the reporting opened, and the individual incidents have not been independently verified, which is why this story carries grade C.
The strikes land one day after UNICEF told journalists in Geneva that more than 340 children have been reported killed in Gaza in the year since the ceasefire, a story published on this site yesterday. Taken together, the two reports describe the ceasefire’s operating reality: large scale fighting has stopped, and a daily toll of drone strikes and casualties has not.
