Six Saudi citizens were injured and three homes and three vehicles damaged when a Houthi projectile fell in a residential area of Najran on Sunday, Saudi Civil Defense said.
Why it matters: The strike hit civilians in the border city on the same day a Saudi helicopter crashed in the same region, as the renewed Houthi missile and drone campaign keeps pressing Saudi Arabia's southern border.

Six Saudi citizens were injured and three homes and three vehicles were damaged after a Houthi projectile fell in a residential area in Najran on Sunday, a Civil Defense spokesman said. The spokesman said attempts to target civilian objects constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and that the established procedures for such incidents had been implemented. The agency had issued alerts of a potential danger in the city earlier on Sunday afternoon before saying the danger had passed.
Najran sits close to the border with Yemen. The projectile landed on the same day a Saudi National Guard helicopter crashed in the region, killing its two-officer crew, in the middle of a renewed Houthi missile and drone campaign against the kingdom.
