Integra Resources needs a steep fourth quarter at its Florida Canyon mine in Nevada to meet the annual production target it left unchanged on Thursday. The mine, about 72 kilometres southwest of Winnemucca, produced 17,652 ounces of gold in the third quarter, a second consecutive quarterly increase, taking nine month output to 46,666 ounces. Reaching guidance of 70,000 to 75,000 ounces requires 23,334 to 28,334 ounces in the fourth quarter, an increase of 32 to 61 percent on the third quarter.
President and chief executive George Salamis said mining rates are expected to remain elevated in the quarter as the company focuses on annual guidance. The spending behind the push, on equipment, waste removal and leach pads, is the mechanism that has to convert into saleable gold, and the company’s own earlier guidance put mine site all in sustaining costs at 2,750 to 2,950 dollars an ounce for 2026, a high cost base that leaves little room for a volume shortfall.
Florida Canyon is Integra’s only operating mine. Its cash flow funds the development pipeline, led by the DeLamar project in Idaho, so the fourth quarter result carries beyond one mine’s year. Shares traded down 1.9 percent at 3.12 Canadian dollars on Friday afternoon, giving the company a market capitalisation of about 633 million Canadian dollars.
The read for the beat is execution risk at the single asset end of the gold sector on a weak tape for the group: gold miners fell 1.82 percent in the market tables and 8.56 percent on the week, even though the metal itself, at 4,007.90 dollars, remains far above the price assumptions in most 2026 cost guidance.
