Genmab shares rose as much as 13 percent in Copenhagen after updated Phase 2 data showed its bispecific antibody petosemtamab, combined with chemotherapy, produced response rates of 75 percent in first-line and 67 percent in second-line metastatic colorectal cancer.

Why it matters: Metastatic colorectal cancer still has a five-year survival rate near 15 percent, and response rates at this level in a 79-patient study are the evidence Genmab is taking into two global Phase 3 trials in first and second-line disease.

Data as of Genmab media release, read in full in this run: Phase 2 trial NCT03526835, 79 patients treated as of the May 15, 2026 data cutoff (45 first-line, 34 second-line), presented at the ESMO Congress 2026 in Madrid. Genmab shares rose as much as 13 percent in Copenhagen trading on Monday after the company presented updated Phase 2 results for petosemtamab at the ESMO Congress in Madrid over the weekend, Investing.com reported. In Genmab’s own release, petosemtamab combined with FOLFOX or FOLFIRI chemotherapy produced confirmed and unconfirmed response rates of 75 percent in first-line and 67 percent in second-line metastatic colorectal cancer among 79 treated patients, with disease control rates of 95 and 93 percent and most earlier unconfirmed responses confirmed at median follow-ups of 5.9 and 7.1 months. The company said the data support its ongoing global Phase 3 LiGeR trials in first and second-line disease, and that treatment-related events led to discontinuation in 5 percent of the FOLFOX group and 3 percent of the FOLFIRI group, with no treatment-emergent events leading to death.
