Rates Monday, October 26, 2026 - Updated Oct 26, 2026 03:21

The Central Bank of Turkey has launched EVDS-MCP, which expands access to its Electronic Data Delivery System to artificial intelligence tools, adding an AI channel to the EVDS 3 platform it rolled out in January.

Why it matters: A central bank deliberately making its statistics database accessible to AI tools puts official Turkish macro and financial data one step closer to the automated systems that now do first-pass analysis, with the bank itself as the source.

Data as of Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey press release No. 2026-46, dated October 26, 2026 and read in full in this run on the bank's own site. The release states the launch, the EVDS background since 1993 and the January 2026 EVDS 3 launch, and limits the bank's role to providing EVDS data in a form compatible with AI tools. Single primary publisher, the issuing central bank itself. Corrected October 26, 2026, 03:21 ET: an earlier version of this item carried a wrong release date and access details that are not in the release; those have been removed.

The Central Bank of Turkey has launched EVDS-MCP, expanding access to its Electronic Data Delivery System to artificial intelligence tools, the bank announced in press release 2026-46, dated October 26. The EVDS has operated since 1993 as the bank’s open data platform for economic and financial market data, and the MCP channel adds AI tools to the access routes on the EVDS 3 platform the bank launched in January 2026.

The bank is careful about the boundary of the service. Its role, the release says, is limited to providing EVDS data in a manner compatible with AI tools, and it is not responsible for the AI tools used with EVDS-MCP or for their outputs. Updated terms of use and user guides are available on the EVDS 3 platform.
