CoreWeave has brought the majority of its planned 22.5 megawatts of IT capacity online at atNorth's DEN01 data centre in Copenhagen, its first deployment in Denmark, and is extending its network backbone to new points of presence across Asia, Australia and the United Arab Emirates.
Why it matters: The lease adds European capacity to CoreWeave's buildout outside its US base, in a liquid cooled facility supplying surplus heat to the local district heating network, and the backbone expansion shows the company wiring its sites into a single global network as contracted power climbs.
Data as of DatacenterDynamics report of October 27, 2026, read in full in this run, reporting CoreWeave's announcement this week. Capacity, site and network figures are the companies' statements as reported there. Developing item.
CoreWeave has brought the majority of its planned 22.5 megawatts of IT capacity online at atNorth’s DEN01 data centre in Ballerup, in greater Copenhagen, its first deployment in Denmark. The liquid cooled facility offers 30 megawatts across 27,730 square metres, densities of 100 kilowatts per rack, and a heat reuse agreement to supply surplus heat to the area’s district heating network.
Alongside the lease, CoreWeave said it is extending its global AI network backbone with new points of presence in the United Arab Emirates, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, Korea and Japan, going live from later in the fourth quarter of 2026 to a full loop in mid-2027, with multiple 400 gigabit per second connections at each point. The company said it operated 51 data centres with more than 1.5 gigawatts of active power as of June 2026, with about 4.2 gigawatts contracted as of its August earnings call.
