Colombia is raising $5.2 billion in the dollar bond market in three tranches priced in final prospectus supplements filed on October 28, 2026: $2.2 billion of 7.000 percent global bonds maturing on January 29, 2032, $2.0 billion of 7.625 percent global bonds maturing on January 29, 2037, and $1.0 billion of 8.125 percent global bonds maturing on October 29, 2056. All three series are issued on October 29, 2026, in denominations of $200,000 and integral multiples of $1,000 above that, and rank as direct, general, unconditional, unsecured and unsubordinated external debt of the Republic, backed by its full faith and credit. The 2056 bonds were priced at 99.721 percent of principal, for net proceeds of about $995.3 million, which Colombia will use for general budgetary purposes.

Why it matters: The deal adds $5.2 billion of dollar funding ahead of issue on October 29 at coupons from 7.000 percent to 8.125 percent, a plain read on the price Colombia pays for market access in dollars, with the 30 year tranche the most expensive money in the deal.
