Xiaomi October EV deliveries top 50,000, a 2026 high

Technology Monday, November 2, 2026 - Updated Nov 2, 2026 07:18

Xiaomi said on Sunday it delivered more than 50,000 electric vehicles in October, its highest monthly total of 2026, taking deliveries for the first ten months to at least 336,490, about 61 percent of its 550,000 annual target.

Why it matters: The ramp is real but the target arithmetic is now brutal: Xiaomi needs roughly 107,000 deliveries a month in November and December, more than twice its best month ever, which makes the year end print a clean test of production capacity against management's promise.

Data as of Xiaomi delivery announcement of November 1, 2026 for the October 2026 month; exact total and model breakdown await the China Passenger Car Association report due later in November. Share move is Hong Kong trading on the morning of November 2, per Longbridge reporting found in corroboration search. Ranked consensus cluster 1 in today's technology pool.

Xiaomi’s car business has had its best month of the year. The company said on Sunday that it delivered more than 50,000 electric vehicles in October, the highest monthly total of 2026 and only the second month above 50,000 in its history, after December 2025’s 50,212. The figure is a floor rather than an exact count, since Xiaomi does not disclose a precise total or a model breakdown with the announcement; the China Passenger Car Association will publish exact figures later in November.

The trajectory is steep and orderly. Deliveries topped 30,000 in August, reached 40,015 in September, and crossed 50,000 in October, a rise of at least 24.95 percent month on month on CnEVPost’s calculations, and at least 2.77 percent above the 48,654 delivered a year earlier. October ended two consecutive months of year on year declines. The driver was the Sky Nomad series, Xiaomi’s extended range models launched on September 7, in their first full month of deliveries; the series had already passed 10,000 units in its partial first month.

Cumulative deliveries reached at least 336,490 vehicles in the first ten months, up at least 6.69 percent on the same period last year, and cumulative deliveries since launch stand at least 887,798. Against the annual target the position is tighter than the headline suggests: 336,490 is about 61.2 percent of the 550,000 goal, leaving roughly 214,000 vehicles to deliver in two months, an average of about 107,000 a month, more than double the October record pace.

Hong Kong investors marked the print positively on Monday morning, with Xiaomi shares up about 2.8 percent to 27.22 Hong Kong dollars in early trading, in a session where XPeng also rose about 3 percent after reporting its own first month above 50,000, at 50,237 deliveries, up 22 percent month on month. Two Chinese EV makers crossing the same threshold in the same month, while the CPCA estimates overall October retail vehicle sales fell 28 percent year on year, is the competitive story: share is concentrating in the makers still scaling.
