AMETEK posts record quarter and raises full year guidance

Infrastructure Tuesday, November 3, 2026 - Updated Nov 3, 2026 11:12

AMETEK reported record third quarter sales of 2.22 billion dollars, up 17 percent, with adjusted earnings of 2.21 dollars per diluted share, and raised its full year earnings guidance.

Why it matters: AMETEK is a broad read on industrial and electronic instruments demand, and a guidance raise driven by orders growth and a completed acquisition says that demand is broadening, not narrowing.

Data as of AMETEK third quarter 2026 release of November 3, 2026, read in full from the SEC filings lane copy in this run (Form 8-K, accession 0001037868-26-000194); the release is the primary source and the source of record for its figures. AMETEK reported record third quarter sales of 2.22 billion dollars, up 17 percent from a year earlier, with adjusted earnings of 2.21 dollars per diluted share, also up 17 percent, and adjusted operating income up 20 percent to 594.7 million dollars. The company completed the acquisition of Indicor Instrumentation during the quarter.

For 2026, AMETEK now expects overall sales to be up in the mid teens from 2025 and adjusted earnings of 8.53 to 8.57 dollars per diluted share, up from prior guidance of 8.20 to 8.30 dollars. Chairman and chief executive David Zapico attributed the raise to the third quarter results, the fourth quarter outlook and the expected contribution from Indicor.
