Pfizer reported third quarter revenue of 16.58 billion dollars, roughly flat from a year earlier, and adjusted earnings of 0.87 dollars a share, ahead of the 15.87 billion dollars of revenue and 0.73 dollars a share analysts surveyed by LSEG had expected. Reported net income was 3.24 billion dollars, or 0.56 dollars a share, down from 3.54 billion dollars, or 0.62 dollars a share, a year earlier, and the company raised full year 2026 revenue guidance to 62 billion to 64 billion dollars, from 60.5 billion to 62.5 billion, and adjusted earnings guidance to 2.95 to 3.05 dollars a share, from 2.80 to 3.00 dollars.

Excluding Comirnaty and Paxlovid, revenue grew 7 percent operationally, led by Eliquis, Padcev and the Vyndaqel family, while the COVID products fell sharply again. The results also confirm Cecile Guegan, a Pfizer finance executive of two decades who had served as interim chief financial officer since August, when Dave Denton left for the same role at Nike, as CFO on a permanent basis.
