Bank of Finland’s Välimäki on the ECB’s December meeting. Tuomas Välimäki, a Bank of Finland board member who sits on the ECB Governing Council, said in a Helsinki speech on November 2 that the energy shock has made the path back to 2 percent inflation less comfortable but has not changed the underlying picture: underlying inflation is broadly stable, wages show no material response, and expectations remain anchored. The Governing Council held rates last week and will have new projections at its December meeting.

Reserve Bank of India operations. The RBI published cut-off results for its 91, 182 and 364 day treasury bill auctions and ran further overnight variable rate reverse repo auctions under the liquidity adjustment facility on November 3 and 4, routine liquidity management operations with no change in stance. The bank also launched the November rounds of its household inflation expectations and consumer confidence surveys.

Japan buyback results for October. Japan’s Ministry of Finance published the results of its October 2026 JGB buyback operations, part of the standing programme through which the ministry repurchases off the run issues; the Bank of Japan also published its accounts as of October 31 and the schedule of JGBs it holds.
