B2Gold cuts annual cost forecast as Goose repairs clear

Mining Thursday, November 5, 2026 - Updated Nov 5, 2026 15:45

B2Gold lowered its 2026 all-in sustaining cost guidance to $2,230 to $2,410 an ounce, about 6 percent lower at the midpoint, and left its production target unchanged at 820,000 to 920,000 ounces.

Why it matters: The cut rests on the company's other mines while its Goose mine in Nunavut, where fire repairs have cleared the crushing bottleneck, must produce about 74,000 ounces in the fourth quarter to reach the bottom of its annual range.

B2Gold cut its 2026 all-in sustaining cost guidance to $2,230 to $2,410 an ounce from $2,370 to $2,550, a reduction of about 6 percent at the midpoint, in its third-quarter report late on Wednesday. The company kept its annual production target at 820,000 to 920,000 ounces, reported adjusted earnings of 14 cents a share against a 12 cent consensus, and produced 193,321 ounces in the quarter with $48 million of free cash flow.

The lower group outlook came from strong production at Masbate in the Philippines and Otjikoto in Namibia and lower royalties at Fekola in Mali. At Goose in Nunavut, repairs and upgrades to the fire-damaged crushing circuit have cleared a key bottleneck, but the mine produced at an all-in sustaining cost of $4,816 an ounce in the quarter and needs about 74,000 ounces in the fourth quarter, up 86 percent from the third, to reach the bottom of its 170,000 to 200,000 ounce annual range.
