T-Therapeutics raises 133 million dollars to enter the clinic

Cambridge based T-Therapeutics closed an oversubscribed 133 million dollar Series B on November 5, with Lilly and Johnson and Johnson among the new investors, to fund two TCR bispecific programmes to clinical proof of concept.

Why it matters: Four pharmaceutical linked investors now sit on the register of a preclinical company whose claim is access to intracellular targets long considered undruggable.

Data as of Financing announced November 5, 2026 in the company's own Globe Newswire release, read via search in this run; Endpoints News reported the same round. Both lead programmes are preclinical.

T-Therapeutics announced on November 5 the closing of an oversubscribed Series B financing of 133 million dollars. The round was co-led by Advent Life Sciences and the British Business Bank. New investors include Johnson and Johnson Innovation (JJDC), Samsara BioCapital, M-Ventures and Eli Lilly and Company, joined by all existing major shareholders, among them Sofinnova Partners, F-Prime, Sanofi Ventures and Tencent. The round follows a 91 million dollar Series A completed in 2025.

The proceeds fund entry into the clinic and clinical proof of concept data for two lead programmes, one in oncology and one in autoimmune disease. Both are T cell receptor (TCR) CD3 bispecific engagers built on the company’s OpTiMus platform, which the company says provides a supply of fully human TCRs able to reach validated intracellular targets that have previously been considered undruggable.

The company also appointed Dr Kirsty Crame as chief development officer to oversee translational and clinical development of the bispecific programmes, and representatives of Advent, the British Business Bank, JJDC and Samsara will join the board as non-executive directors.

The investor list is the signal in this story. Lilly and Johnson and Johnson are the second and third pharmaceutical companies with venture exposure to the platform, alongside Sanofi Ventures from the earlier round. None of that validates the science: both programmes remain preclinical, and the financing buys the first human test of whether TCR bispecifics can be made safe and effective outside cell therapy.
