The Bureau of the Fiscal Service reported $633.7 billion of Treasury securities held in stripped form at the end of October, out of $23.889 trillion of principal outstanding on eligible securities.
Why it matters: The monthly STRIPS figures show how much of the eligible Treasury stock investors hold as separated interest and principal components, a standing gauge of demand for zero-coupon Treasury cash flows.
