Epiroc agrees to acquire French parts supplier Aramine

Mining Friday, November 6, 2026 - Updated Nov 6, 2026 07:20

Epiroc has agreed to acquire Aramine, a French supplier of spare parts and services for underground mining with revenue of about 31 million euros.

Why it matters: Aftermarket parts and rebuilds are recurring, high margin revenue for equipment makers, and this deal extends Epiroc's service reach to Aramine customers in more than 70 countries.

Data as of Epiroc announcement November 6, 2026; completion expected in the fourth quarter of 2026; financial terms not disclosed. Aramine revenue is for the 12 months ended September 30, 2026.

Epiroc AB has agreed to acquire Aramine SAS, a French supplier of spare parts and related services for underground mining operations. Aramine is based in Aix-en-Provence, has about 65 employees and serves customers in more than 70 countries. In addition to spare parts, it provides component remanufacturing and machine rebuilds. Revenue in the 12 months ending September 30, 2026 was about 31 million euros (SEK 340 million). Financial terms were not disclosed.

The perimeter is narrower than Aramine’s full business. On October 1, 2026 Aramine created ARAMAC, a separate company dedicated to underground mining equipment, and that equipment business is not part of Epiroc’s acquisition. What Epiroc is buying is the parts, remanufacturing and rebuild operation, with more than five decades of industry history behind it.

The acquisition will sit in Epiroc’s Equipment and Service business area and be reported under the Service revenue stream. President and CEO Helena Hedblom said the deal will extend Epiroc’s reach and strengthen its capability to provide mining customers worldwide with aftermarket parts and services. Completion is expected in the fourth quarter of 2026, and the transaction is not subject to a disclosure obligation under the EU Market Abuse Regulation.

The deal is small against Epiroc’s scale: the Swedish group reported revenue of about SEK 62 billion in 2025, with more than 19,000 employees supporting customers in about 150 countries. Its logic is mix, not size. New equipment sales are cyclical with mine capital spending, while parts and rebuilds follow the installed fleet and recur through the cycle, which is why both major underground equipment makers keep buying independent aftermarket networks.
